There and back again (Delaware Edition)

What a day. We left Casa de Stroock at 7:30 for our father-in-law's final burial in Delaware today, spent all of 45 minutes at the cemetery, and got back home at 3:15.

We spent a grand total of six hours behind the wheel and used this productively to think about Putin's War, if such a novel exists.

We think the ChiComs open the war with a Pearl Harbor style attack on Vladivostok. We'll show this through a journo POV character.

We think we'll have a Ruski sub sinking ChiCom ships on the high seas, pirate style...avast ye Chinese commie!

We think we'll have two Russian brother officers. One will command a battalion say, at one of the critical border stops, the other has just been brought onto Putin's personal staff. Border brother shows some fighting, Kremlin brother shows Putin. We don't think we can/should make Putin a character himself.

We like the idea of using Putin's War to show an America in a deep recession, having defaulted on the debt. This will be a financial catastrophe that brings on internal unrest, riots, threats of secession, a Federal occupation of...a state that tried to secede, etc. Exit question: which state tried to secede?

Well also make some references to Putin having 'tidied some things up' in the West.

Below, a Ruski Monday Metal:
