The Times of Israel predicts Israeli PM Naftali Bennet's coalition is about to collapse and Netanyahu is on the verge of returning to power. Quote ToI: 'On Monday night, it came nowhere near mustering the votes to pass routine legislation to renew the application of Israeli law to settlers — legislation the right-wing opposition voted down despite fully supporting it, so that Netanyahu can show Israelis that their government simply no longer has the votes to govern.'
Though this blog has been calling on Netanyahu to go find something else to do, we also admit that Bibi returning to power would piss off all the right people. We really urge readers to read the whole ToI article, for a feel of just how rightwing the Israeli electorate has become. Hmm... if Bibi then Trump?
We didn't bother watching the latest episode of Kenobi last night. Why waste our time?
Yesterday we said to expect pre- January 6th hearing leaks. We just held our nose and went over to The Washington Post and The New York Times. No bombshells. Which is surprising. Maybe the hearings really will be a primetime dud. The Times is running headlines about Kushner and Pence. Is this just an effort to divide Trump World? Whatevs, yo. Like most other American normies, we won't be watching.
And here we were, trying to talk about politics less.
NJ.com reports: 'Gas prices in New Jersey topped $5 a gallon for the first time ever on Tuesday — as prices continue to soar to records highs across the country. A gallon of regular unleaded now costs drivers in the Garden State an average of $5.019, according to the American Automobile Association.' Around here, about 30 minutes west of the Lincoln Tunnel, gas is about a nickel under five bucks. We bet gas is approaching six bucks up in Newark, Fort Lee and Hoboken. Serves 'em right, being across the river from NYC.
A Democrat tried to assassinate Justice Kavanaugh yesterday. Let's say he succeeded. What would we do then?
