We'll be heading home today, but only for a few days as on Sunday we finally return to the Stroock Northern Strategic Direction in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
Israel has a new Prime Minister, a caretaker: 'Outgoing Prime Minister Naftali Bennett holds a brief transition of power ceremony and handover briefing for incoming prime minister Yair Lapid.' The election is 1 November. Don't ask us who's the next PM. As for Lapid...now a caretaker PM having to run a major war is an interesting idea. Oh Bibi, we can't miss you if you won't go away. Exit question. Is Bibi just another Boomer who refuses to die?
We should have the final cover for The Weser soon.
Powerline reports that Joe is 'still taking on water.' He's at 38 percent in the RCP poll of polls. Some polls have Joe at 35%. By the way, that's post Dobbs polling. The pundits expected a post-Dobbs boost for Joe (to be fair some polls show this in the generic ballot), but what if the opposite is happening? What if Dem morale is cracking? They are having a terrible year. Just a thought.
Hey! Remember Ukraine? Just like this blog predicted, Ukraine becomes background noise as other news [Like Dobbs!-Ed] dominates the narrative. Did Putin understand this? Is that why he felt he could keep going even after the failed airborne and land assaults on Kiev? Reminder, the Slav, especially the Russian, will not necessarily think about war the way a news producer thinks about war.
