Lapid to Joe: Iranian Nukes No-No

This is post number 4997.

Happy Bastille Day. We're working on French again, with Duolingo. We guess it's going okay. We wonder if we should break out the CDs again. The plan is to visit la Belle France next summer. Anyway, Vive la France!

The Times of Israel Headline: ‘There will be no nuclear Iran,’ Lapid vows after meeting with Biden'. Meanwhile, here is where Joe's mind is, other than ice cream: 'For his part, Biden told Lapid that Washington does not want to be surprised by any Israeli announcements about building settlements.' This administration of the untalented still thinks in terms of the Oslo Process. Peace is dead. The palestinian's war on Israel is over and the Israelis won.

Steve Sailer has an excellent book review about the history of conservativism these last hundred years. Our own personal list of top influential conservatives, in order, starting roughly with the summer of 1992: George Will, P.J. O'Rourke, Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich, and Mark Steyn. Thirty years ago right now we were very excited about Bill Clinton. We stand by that.

We made all the changes to World War 1990: The Weser yesterday. There's one last thing to do. Now we feel nothing but fear and paranoia, trepidation, hesitancy, more fear...Not kidding.

We're in the latest issue of Military History Matters:  'Sideshow: the red and the blue William Stroock recalls the Trent Affair, the tense moment in 1862 when Britain and the US almost went to war'. We took all the research we did for The Red and the Blue, Palmerston's Ironclads and turned it into a magazine article. We are among the best there is at what we do.
