We awake this morning to news that the Iranians have seized a British tanker in the Gulf of Oman and calls for the Royal Navy to attack Houthi positions in Yemen. We also awake to this article in the Telegraph: 'The few remaining frigates are very old and worn out. The handful of destroyers break down catastrophically all the time, and are feebly armed. Our new aircraft carriers had no jets at all for 95 per cent of 2022. Our submariners have to do six-month patrols due to maintenance failures.' The Royal Navy is a dried, shrunken husk of its once great self.
We've lost all faith in Great Britain. We await and hope for a massive Labour victory. The Tories are a pathetic lot. 13 years of Tory rule and nothing to show for it. The party deserves destruction. And lets face it, Brexit didn't matter.
The Israelis are going to have to handle the Houthi problem themselves, aren't they? That'd be a heck of a novel. Life imitates Israel Strikes: War of the Red Sea
We've not commented on the whole Hasidic Jewish tunnel story in New York because we've no idea what to make of it. The New York Post provides some background and insights into the tunnel diggers motivations. What the actual F? Dig for the messiah, we guess. Let's just say that these young men are complete pricks. Let us also say that the imams are right, the Jew is clever. You just know the cops responded to this call and said, 'Hasidics, I hate these guys.'
We were aware that all you can eat buffet specialist and former New Jersey governor Chris Christie had dropped out of the presidential race. We voted for the man twice and think he did a good job here in New Jersey. Where is former New Jersey governor, and GOP, Christine Todd Whitman? That's where Christie is going. Hey, Christine-Christie, we just noticed that.
So Bill Belichick is leaving the New England Patriots after 24 seasons. Belichick has 300 + wins, has been to nine Super Bowls and won six of them, making him the winningest coach in Super Bowl history. Steelers head coach Chuck Knoll won four Super Bowls*. There is no argument. Belichick is the greatest head coach in NFL history. We've never hated Belichick. In fact, we've always had a soft spot for him. He was the defensive coordinator on two Giants championship teams (Super Bowls XXI and XXV).
Looking over World War 1990: Norway yesterday, the raid on Banak chapter seems inadequate, at once too short and not long enough. We've a nagging feeling that the chapter, which simply describes an event important to another event, is a missed opportunity. We could turn this raid into something epic, no? We must dwell on this.
We must also dwell on War Night. Yesterday we read over the Alberta Plain story, and have no idea what our farmer does after he watches the southern horizon glow orange. We must dwell on this as well. There shall be much dwelling, or we shall dwell on many things.
On to better things...World War 1990: The Final Storm has 24 ratings averaging 4.5 stars. We are among the best there is at what we do.
*Hmmm....Packers legend Vince Lombardi won two Super Bowls and three NFL championships before the Super Bowl era. Food for thought. Bill Walsh won three Super Bowls with the 49rs. Joe Gibbs won three with the Redskins.
Just have him get up the next morning and continue to farm he knows people need to eat and crops will be worth more than gold
