Why Some of his Best Friends are...

Woke up at 6:30 AM, much better. So's the shoulder after stretching and an icepack.

We're expecting two to three inches of rain today. Also floods. Perhaps power outages. We're glad we have the new sump pump, with a battery backup to boot!

The New York Post follows up on the Roosevelt High School Girls basketball team's anti-Jewish pogrom last week with an exclusive interview of former coach Bryan Williams: 'The ousted coach of a Yonkers high school girls basketball team said school officials made him a scapegoat when they fired him after some of his players allegedly yelled antisemitic slurs at a visiting team from a Jewish school.' Williams heard nothing he tells us, nothing. We're sure he has lots of Jewish friends. This blog encourages Mr. Williams to sue his former employer.

Yesterday our man on the ground in Iowa reported that the Hawkeye state is MAGA country (see the post below). In conversation he told us he expects candidates to perform to their polling averages. If that's true then DeSantis has no chance. There's a long list of failed primary candidates that were thought to be front runners. Is DeSantis the new Jeb!? Maybe.

We're going to get Trump vs Biden again, aren't we? America deserves this, she really does. Sorry fellow MAGA hats, we think DeSantis is a better candidate. We agree the polls look great for Trump in the general. But we won't believe he can win until someone shows us how the GOP plans to Stop the Steal.

2004 and More...aahhhh 20 years ago the Democrat primary featured John Kerry (biggest asshole to run for office in our lifetime), Joe Liberman, Howard Dean, and John Edwards. Dean was helping redefine the Democrat Party, an early example of the rich, white progressive Democrat. He led in New Hampshire almost until the primary. Kerry ended up winning New Hampshire, coming out of nowhere, really. We thought election 2004 was so important. Here we are 20 years later, and the nation is so much worse off. At least we won the Iraq war, right?!

Okay, World War 1990: The Final Storm has 19 ratings, 4.4 stars. We're calling it. World War 1990: The Final Storm is a good novel. Only took 4 years of writer's bleed to get it that way. Personally, of the silo raids, only the Kastroma chapter lived up to what we were trying to do. We like the SAS raid and all the whacky stuff that happens after. Those chapters really differentiate TFS from other novels in the World War 1990 series. That's a good thing. How many blow-em-ups must one needs do?

Now then, we finished the single mom story in War Night, except for one thing. Mom's picked up the kids, one at a friend's, one at the high school. A lot goes on in the brown and yellow Volare station wagon. But we think something interesting should happen during the ride home. Thoughts?
