End of a Long Week

Shabot Shalom and happy Friday, Stroock's Books congregates.

The Times of Israel reports that the Israeli Navy is conducting extensive drill simulating operations against Hezbollah. Could this drill also be preparatory to a mission against the Yemeni Houthis? Why not? We say it again: Hezbollah, Bibi. We also quote Israel Radar, 'Israel warns UN: Enforce quiet on Lebanon border or we will take military action.' They're not kidding.

A friend of ours sent along this Russian information network chart:

We are at once annoyed and disappointed that we're not pictured. What's a guy gotta do to get denounced around here?

Staying on the Russian front...In Ukraine, glorious Red Army continues advance into fascist Ukraine for program of de-Nazification.* Why the reportage on events in Ukraine this week? Mostly because we've seen movement on the map. We've been following two sources. These are the American Insitute for the Study of War and the Russian Rybar Force, a Moscow based think tank. We figure between the of them they paint an accurate picture of what's happening on the Ukraine front. That picture portrays red lines moving west.

Presidential Greatness Rumination Week: Baaaah! What can we say? Clinton wasn't so bad. W wasn't so good. And we don't know what to make of any of this crap anymore. We think the GOP is filled with useless simps, and the Democrat Party serves Satan. We're not voting this time around. That's it. We mean it this time.

*Annon weirdos of Nightingale Russia. That's a joke. You'd have to have a sense of humor to understand it. Not getting it still? This is a kind of Gen X humor steeped in laconic wit and irony, where something is so farfetched it becomes farce. You see, we never got cash in a midnight dead drop from our old Inforos editor, Maxim. No, payment came really boringly via PayPal and...oh never mind. This kind of humor requires at least a three digit IQ.
