Plan This, Mother!@#$&!s

Good morning from the new old coffee shop. We've surrendered. The Coffee is okay. Bob Marley is on the radio. Given the new Marley bio pic coming out, we suspect we're going to be subjected to this smug crap for weeks, no, months. A gaggle of Chinese women is gabbing in the corner. We're suspicious.

We hit the gym yesterday and did our cardio regimen, making for back to back days. We feel good and the triceps feels fine.

We'll be going to a neighbor's later this afternoon to do some chainsaw work on a fallen tree limb. Our plan is to come away with as many digits with which we began. Does that sound right? We shrug. Anywho, wish us luck.

We woke up this morning expecting to read that the world had ended, with all the national security and top-secret info hubbub yesterday. Reports say the commotion was about a Ruski plan to put nuclear weapons in space, or some such. If so, that ain't exactly news. This is literarily an episode of Star Trek....the Original Series. You know, from like, the 60's. The timing is...interesting, we'll say that. But we'll reserve judgement and wait for, what's the word we're looking for...oh yeah, facts. Try it sometime, J-school losers.

The Times of Israel and Jerusalem Post report on an imminent peace plan proposal from Joe and the Arabs. Quoth the Times: 'The proposed plan includes steps that Israel has previously refused, including the evacuation of many West Bank settlements, a Palestinian capital in East[ern] Jerusalem and a combined security apparatus and government for the West Bank and Gaza.' Laugh, cry, pick one. These fucking people never stop. There can be no peace with the Gazans and West Bank People. Only victory.

Concomitant [Wow look at you-Ed] with the Gaza campaign, the Israelis bombed dozens of Hezbollah targets in Lebanon yesterday and today. 'Prepare for War,' Chief of Staff Dan Halevi has told IDF northern command.

We've had just a bit of buzz for a history reading project about Anglos and Saxons and Normans and Crusades etc etc. But we've been hesitant. Not only have we already read up on the subject, we've published widely on same. Mrs. Stroock pointed out that we've read at least four books on Grant's overland campaign, so why wouldn't we read more books on another subject that clearly interests us? Done. We ordered the latest from our old professor Brian Todd Carey*, and The Norman Commanders, by Paul Hill. Mister Hill has a written a lot of books...

By late morning yesterday we were actually kinda pleased with the World War 1990: Norway epilogue chapter. Now, do we want to go back and write the Hauk fast attack craft plot into the MS? That's a couple of weeks of writing, and research and wondering, 'Who would be the guy with the thing?' etc etc. We dunno man...We could get Norway to editing next week if we really wanted to. And we kinda want to.**

*In 2002 Professor Carey told us, 'This paper of yours is pretty good. Consider trying to publish it.' And here we are. The paper was about Masinissa, the Numidian leader who aided Rome during the 2nd Punic War. Despite several attempts, the paper has never been published. But we did publish a paper about his grandson, Jugurtha

**We should read a printed copy first.
