Blue Deadlines Loom

Good Thursday morn, Stroock's Books delegates. The biblical rains here in New Jersey have stopped, wonder what Governor Phil Murphy did to piss off Ganesh this time. Sorry, a little Chindian humor. Anyway, temps are warming, and we're tempted to shave our winter beard. The Yankee winter is fickle, even in the Mid-Atlantic, and we believe that bitch has one last cold blast in store for us. In 2018 we had snow in late March and early April.

State of the Union tonight. No? We don't care either. We're sure Joe will be very unifying. Some are speculating/hoping that Joe will glitch out. But we don't see it happening. Politics is also fickle, and that bitch has not seen fit to reward us in quite some time. Trump should do a live stream of the SOTU, no? That might be worth watching.

Former Anti-Defamation League head Abe Foxman says a lot of dumb shit about Trump in the above linked interview. We're not surprised. Twenty years ago he was worked up about Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ. Boy, did we ever get into some arguments about that. But Foxman says a lot of smart things too. 'Foxman attributes current antisemitism on campus to “a failure of administrative guts” on the part of university administrations.' Also, Arab money. We urge reader(s) to click on through.

In a piece titled, We're Living in the Most Worrying Time for Jews, David Horowitz writes,  'Jews everywhere more wary than they were five months ago — more wary than they were in decades — about publicly identifying as Jews.' That headline is spot on. Also, fuck it, we wear our Israel hat wherever we go now. We're still not sure what we'd do if directly confronted. Nothing remotely like that has ever happened. Again, we urge reader(s) to click on through.

Also in the Times of Israel, 'Hopes are dimming that an agreement to release hostages taken by Hamas on October 7 and secure a temporary truce to pause the fighting in Gaza can be reached before the start of Ramadan next week, the New York Times reports citing US and Mideast officials.' Hamas keeps demanding a permanent ceasefire and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza. Drawing these talks out so Israel has to attack Rafah during Ramadan may be part of Hamas' plan. We don't think it makes a difference. In fact, we encourage Israel to attack Rafah during Ramadan. Muslim terrorists can't be permitted to hide behind their religion. Current guess: no deal.

And finally Arutz Shiva reports, 'The Lebanese Al-Akhbar newspaper, which is affiliated with the Hezbollah terror group, has reported that Israel has set a deadline for a diplomatic agreement to calm tensions on the border. According to the report, Israel informed Western countries that it will wait until March 15 to achieve a diplomatic agreement with Lebanon.' The Israelis have gradually ratcheted up their aerial campaign in Lebanon. Is this prepping the battlespace? Soon. Say it with us, Hezbollah, Bibi.
