The Morning After Iran's Bitter Morning After Pill

Good morning fellow Zionists and supporters of the Jewish State and the Righteous Among the Nations.

This is day-2 of Israel not retaliating against Iran. Stroock's Books supports doing nothing, for now

Right now, the media spotlight is on Israel's successful aerial defense. Details about the attack drip out. This morning  Arutz Shiva reports that half of Iran's ballistic missiles failed to launch or malfunctioned before reaching their target. Bits of Iranian ballistic missiles are scattered all over Iran, Iraq and Jordan. And Israel Radar reports,  'Intercepted missile assault sparks global interest in Israeli air defenses, @ynetalerts report. Looks like Iran launched the best marketing campaign for Israel's military hardware, sales expected to skyrocket.' A joke's in there someplace.

Keep the spotlight on Iran's attack.

By the way, the war is not slowing. The war is not paused. There is no 'quagmire'. Every day the IDF hammers Hezbollah. The IAF hit several targets in Lebanon last night. The IDF continues prepping the battlespace for a Rafah op. There ain't gonna be no hostage deal. And don't forget, the IDF and Shin Beit are working feverishly in Judea and Samaria. They arrested a wanted terrorist last night in Nablus.

Also, in America the House is getting ready to move several pro-Israel bills.

Be restrained, until it's time to not be restrained.*

We accomplished everything we wanted over the weekend, from getting a haircut to finishing the garage cleanout. We are ridiculously enthused about cleaning out the garage.

We had excellent back-to-back workouts at the gym over the weekend, with Sunday's weightlifting session being complimented by mowing the lawn. We feel fantastic. It's officially midmonth and we must needs ponder our workout regimen going forward. We're toying with the idea, maybe, of resuming our four mile runs.

Today we will submit our Pancho Villa short story, Stand Off at San Miguel. We need only read it over today and add just a few lines of dialogue/description to make it perfect. One doesn't finish writing a story. One just stops.

We'll spend the week writing the Lexington story in War Night. Rough draft by Friday. [When are you going to learn to stop announcing deadlines?-Ed]

Monday not Metal. Last night CBS aired Billy Joel's 100th residency show at Madison Square Garden. We watched a cacophony of sound and light. After all these decades the man can still get it done. Sorry, if you don't at least appreciate Billy Joel, you don't appreciate music. At his prime Joel's music was the soundtrack to 1970's era New York. Ironically, Piano Man is about his experiences playing at a bar in LA. Here's the CBS promo

*The Israeli war cabinet is meeting as we write this.
