We enjoyed waking up this morning to see four Israeli hostages were freed. In Israel there is joyous celebration, while in Gaza there is rage and despair as they sift about the rubble of their lives. Suffer more, Gaza.
Last night we actually watched the senate confirmation vote of Pete Hegseth as secretary of defense. The formerly Cocaine Mitch McConnell cast a no vote to make the tally 50-50, forcing Vice President Vance to break the tie. McConnell knew what he was doing, and there was a lot of kabuki afoot. My how he hates Trump. We won't kill McConnell; he gave us three supreme court justices. But it's time for him to go.
Yesterday Trump publicly castigated failed LA Mayor Karen Bass. The clips are just glorious. We'll make a point about cleanup. Long time reader(s) will recall that in September of 2021 Bridgewater was badly flooded by Hurricane Ida. Our own Somerset Patriots made the news. Anyway, with flood debris stacking up on the sidewalks and streets, the town hired a private waste disposal service to pick up hundreds (thousands?) of tonnes of debris. Bridgewater was cleaned up within a couple of days. It would take LA months to make this happen.
The Things.
The Things are the things. Beta readers keep telling us how awesome our War Night short stories are. This troubles us. Our grognard is grognarding us, which is his job. The bastard. But the Things are going well. Looks like next week we'll get War Night ready for...well, you know.
We are intensifying our World War 1990: Thatcher's War research.
