Good morning, Stroock's Books investors. Traders may now open the window and get some air. So at some point yesterday afternoon we checked the Dow and said, 'Wait, what?' Go ahead and laugh. We did. Was this part of the plan? Trump himself said he ordered the 90 day pause because the markets got 'yippy'. Our own sense is that Trump and Bessent simply miscalculated the yippiness in the bond market.
So, yeah, no. We're not gonna go into the, 'Always trust Trump' routine. That being said we did think the tariffs were a negotiating tactic to get leverage. Haven't you people ever read Art of the Deal? [No, and you haven't either-Ed]. My goodness. What will today bring?
In other news we saw a book sales spike yesterday. No idea why.
This blog is also seeing a traffic spike of late. Also no idea why.
And we drew the ire of three different Jew haters on Substack yesterday. Come on guys, be smart. Don't antagonize a Jew so close to Passover. We'll just substitute your name for Pharoah. Hashem can and will bring the lightning. We've been responding with, 'Mom's new boyfriend is a Jew, isn't he?' and posting Charleton Heston Gifs.
