Hey look at that! Post 6,000 will be on a Saturday.
A good Thursday morning to Stroock's Books supplicants.
Okay, last night we dreamed we were watching Canadian election returns. What the actual Ef? No, we're not optimistic, and yes indeed in our dream Pierre was giving a concession speech. A premonition perhaps. Almost certainly. We'll have a few thoughts on what it all means when the deed is done. One glimmer of hope. Polls show the libs in the lead. But these opinion polls are taken in a country where it is illegal to hold certain opinions.
War Night sales dipped a bit yesterday and this morning it's ranked #17 in its Amazon category.
Powerline posts on the Trump Ukraine War peace proposal. Yeah, any questions? We have a couple of questions for the Ukrainiacs out there. What is your theory of victory and how does Ukraine recover Crimea? We'll wait. Or we could go the full Hessler, 'The war will go on. And on and on!' and sing Der Panzerleid.
As promised, Kurt Schlichter's Thursday column on the Douglas Murray/Dave Smith thing. The Colonel is right, as is his wont. He's most right about what makes Murray tick, POSH-Englishman and all. And on the rest, 'Debate and disagreement within the broad right are good. We should have people, including stand-up comics, self-taught podcasters, and, yes, journalists, talk about things in a clear and clarifying manner.' Dave Smith has the right to be a misinformed Hamas symp, despite what Murray thinks.
The NFL draft is tonight. We've no insights and don't really care. We've one thought. The Giants would be nuts to take Sheduer Sanders. Sheduer Sanders comes with Deion Sanders. No thank you. See also LeVar Ball and his rule.
DOGE report: more going through the Thatcher's War NYC chapter. Progress is slowing. We've a hunch we need one last scene and maybe one more American political scene to wrap the chapter.
Also, Amazon now has an option where one can press a button and make once's book an audio book. That's all one has to do. We are experimenting. If our initial test works, then War Night is a perfect candidate for a standalone audio book.
I'm hoping the Giants take Jaxon Dart
