Thursday Four

A very rainy good morning from northern New Jersey to Stroock's Books reader(s).

Last night a free 'Palestine' activist murdered two Israeli embassy staffers in Washington DC. This blog kindly asks readers to click on through.

Meanwhile Operation Gideon's Chariots intensifies. Open Source has Netanyahu's ceasefire terms. These are, 'Full return of all hostages. Hamxs surrenders its weapons. Hamxs leadership is exiled. Complete demilitarization of Gaza. Enforcement of the Trump Plan...' Good. Finish it, Bibi. Our guess is that Netanyahu will pause operations in return for about half (10) of the remaining living hostages. But that is just a guess.

Fourth Andor thought of the week...Disney gave us two good (not great) seasons of grownup Star Wars. Thank the Force they didn't try to milk Andor for a third season. The story arc is fine the way it is. As we wrote the previous sentence, we felt a cold dread reverberate through us, as we realized that someone at Disney is writing a treatment for an origin story series about one of the Andor characters. Exit question: which character?

World War 1990: The Managua campaign...we're envision an invasion similar to the US's Afghan campaign in which the Contras advance on Managua supported by US special forces and lots of air power. We think the Honduran army will open and hold the border area. An aerial campaign will precede the invasion, ala Desert Storm.

DOGE report: we spent all day reading through and editing the South Armagh chapter. We wrote one scene and began another.  Here's an interesting article on Thomas 'Slab' Murphy, who ran South Armagh for the IRA. He was more or less the number three man at the IRA in the 80s and 90s. We don't know which Troubles book we should reread next.

We researched World War 1990: The Managua Campaign. We're not sure about the title. It sounds very small, niche, selective even. Maybe The Carribean War?
