Good morning, Stroock's Books Christian faithful, and congrats to this blog's Catholic readers on the Papal inauguration.
Israel's own Yuval Raphael placed second last night in the Eurovision song contest. She did so singing in a sea of hate in which Jew-haters twice tried to storm the stage. A great night for Yuval. A great night for Israel.
Negotiations continue in Doha, with the Prime Minister's office saying a deal to end the war on Israeli terms (all hostages returned, disarmament and exile of Hamas) is on the table. Israeli military pressure is working. Keep pressing.
The Israelis found the carcass of Mohamed Sinwar in a Khan Younis tunnel and severely injured his brother in another airstrike. Bomb Gaza.
Yesterday we sat down and wrote out a World War 1990: Thatcher's War to do list. This includes writing the invasion, Adams and McGuiness scenes (we've got books about both men), the Armagh chapter...By Grabthar's hammer this novel is 67,000 words. We're in good shape, though. Very good shape.
Moving on to Will's Good Idea for the week of 5/18/25. A 5th nuke novel is...delayed. We've no juju and we're not going to press it. We'll wait for the lightning, the spark across the sky.
In the meantime we'll begin World War 1990: The Managua Campaign. This is a continuation of World War 1990: Castro's Folly and the 2nd post World War III novel. At first we thought we'd call the book Quayle's War, but readers would find this off putting or think, what the actual ef? We'll be discussing plotting and ideas for the new novel all week.
