Good Sunday, Christian reader(s) of Stroock's Books.
Okay.... We did some light exercise yesterday and...we dunno, man. We'll stretch and pop some Aspirin and see how we feel.
Hot Air reports that Fake Jake Tapper's book about the media's role in the Biden coverup is 'bombing'. Tapper's book sold 'over 50,000' copies the first week. LOL. LOL again. We'd take that. Hot Air notes, 'By comparison: Bob Woodward’s book “Fear: Trump in the White House” sold 1.1 million copies in its first week.' We don't know Fake Jake's deal, of course. But our guess is he's taking home $5-$10 per sale + his advance.
Related...our May book sales:
And KU:The blue bar is War Night: Stories of the Great Nuclear War of 1975. Man that back list does a lot of work, doesn't it? By our eye the backlist accounts for 60 percent of sales. Yay backlist. With the lower price, War Night will probably stay on this plateau till July.
Will's Good Idea for the week of 6/1/25. We got a few, actually. We admit that World War 1990: Denmark, is an interesting idea, if we did it differently than other World War 1990 books. We don't want to write the Danish version of World War 1990: Norway. What if(!) World War 1990: Denmark took place over the entire war, from beginning to end? That way we write a novel that's different than the others in the World War 1990 series. We're reminded of World War 1990: Nederland, which is really a collection of five short stories about the Netherlands in World War Three. Probably not.

Both Nederland and Norway were fantastic books. The Danes would fit right in.
