I don't know about you...

...But I'm feeling 52.

We've been waiting a decade to do that. We last did it, well, in 2015, when the Stroock girls were crazy about Taylor Swift and this blog was barely a thing. Time passes.

Yes, we turn 52 today, thanks everyone. We're getting old. Beats the alternative, as our grandfather used to say.

Greetings, from the Stroock Northern Strategic Direction in the pastoral Berkshires. Hi of 82 today, with temps dropping to the 50s overnight. It's nice to be out of the AC for a while.

Many a birthday we've spent here at our grandparent's house, and we've the pictures to prove it. In one of the photo albums here is a pic of 7 year old will with his Star Wars birthday cake. This is a bit of a running gag in the Stroock family, and very often Mrs. Stroock or our dad will arrange for a Star Wars themed ice-cream birthday cake. We wouldn't have it any other way.

Last night we watched The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi on the telly. Time passes, but Star Wars doesn't. Not ever,

Another miss from Stroock's Books yesterday. Meh. We didn't want to rush a post before getting on the road, and weren't in the mood to do a post after driving three hours. Do we really have that much to say? Bla-bla Gaza, bla-bla Bibi.

The Things, such as they are.

We are on track to have what we've written in World War 1990: Thatcher's War squared away in Bristol fashion by 31 July. Same with World War 1990: The Managua Campaign.

Reader(s) will excuse us, as we're off to take the garbage to the town dump. Wish us luck, as this exercise is entirely dependent on the mood of the people running the dump that day. Some mornings they can be real pricks. Heck, our grandfather said it used to be if you gave them a 6-pack of beer they'd take anything you could drag up there no questions asked. Time has indeed passed.
