Saturday Updates

We didn't do much last night. One can see the annual 4th of July fireworks at Duke Island Park from Chindia. As such the neighborhood fills up with cars and on lookers. We watched Yankee Doodle Dandy and Independence Day. God damn it, we got emotional...at Independence Day. The First Lady dying...the wedding...David and Steven walking away from the fighter crash. Good god.

July 4th is over. It's just summertime now. We feel like the dog days have already arrived. The summertime moroseness is here in full effect. We still have eight days of solitude. As we've said many times, the first few days alone are fun, but after a while we get bored.

We did cardio yesterday. This morning we got a touch of plantar fasciitis in the left foot and our right knee is a bit sore.

In the Middle East, negotiations continue apace. Both sides seem to be dragging them out. It sounds like Trump is sweetening the deal for Netanyahu with a weapons package. Of course. In the meantime, keep bombing.

The Zman (John Christopher Zander) was a blogger and podcaster whom we read and occasionally posted about here. He had, shall we say, some controversial views, being an AmRen and VDare guy.  The Zman wanted anonymity, but The SPLC doxed him a few years ago. The Zman died last week of natural causes, in his sleep it sounds like. Heart attack? He was 59.

The Things.

We are one third of the way through reading World War 1990: Thatcher's War. Tweaks and details are needed. But we are overall pleased. We have inadvertently written several Brits vs IRA one off vignettes. We are fine with this. The vignettes give Thatcher's War some deviation from other WW1990 novels.

We spent all week working on World War 1990: The Managua Campaign. We are progressing, but not pleased. The battle of Los Banos Airport is coming along though. We know how we get from A to Z.

We're bored with Substack.
