Glitcheth the Thermostat...

...Twitcheth the eye.

The AC fan speed defaulted to 450 RPMs when it needs to be at 1300 RPMs. This leads to, you guessed it, poor airflow and ice buildup on the pipes and coils.

We called the thermostat company, with whom we had registered the warranty 18 hours before. They were actually worse than useless.  Their poo flinging phone monkey wanted the serial numbers of the AC unit and HVAC system. We told him he didn't need those to help us with our brand new and warranty registered thermostat. From there he put us on hold and consulted the same trouble shooting FAQ as we had on the website, put us on hold, and then suggested we call the installers.

The installers will be here between 8-12.

We hate this. Every bit of it.

Oh look, we have a slight stabbing pain in our left heel. This is almost certainly stress-related gout. Great.

Israel is going to take Gaza City, they say. This is a negotiation pressure tactic. The Coalition hardliners want the IDF to conquer the whole of Gaza. They want to reestablish Israeli towns there too, the morons.

The Krauts are halting arms exports to Israel, which is on point for Germany.

Meanwhile, in news far more important than any Eurotrash postering on Israel, Israel Hayom reports that the Lebanese cabinet has approved a Hezbollah disarmament plan. This plan is backed by Trump. Let's recount the last two weeks of diplomatic Kabuki: Arab League Resolution against Hamas, Egyptian/Israeli Gas deal, and now this Lebanon/Hezbollah disarmament plan.

In Israel, a Maariv poll shows 57 percent of Israelis want a comprehensive hostage deal. If the war ended with Hamas giving up all hostages, leaving Gaza, and turning the strip over to a pan-Arab force or some such, Stroock's Books would support that.

The Jerusalem Post tells us that if the election were held today, the Opposition block led by Naftalli Bennett would win 61 seats and Netanyahu's Coalition would win 49 seats. We don't think this is a terrible position for Bibi. Bennett looks great to Israelis now, before a political campaign. Who knows what he'd look like after the rigors of a campaign. The smart money is on Bennett, though.

Alert reader(s) will notice that Bibi and Likud still win the most seats. We renew our call for Bibi to form a coalition with the center right and center parties. This new coalition could pass a Haredi draft law. Heh-heh. Probably won't happen.

Our own sense is that Israel/Netanyahu is climbing out of the previously mentioned diplomatic/PR trench. But we're an optimist by nature

  1. Had the same problem you are having with a brand new programmable thermostat had to get rid of it and go back to a old fashioned one and never had a problem since
