Nixon What?

A rare miss for this blog yesterday as the proprietor of this blog had a couple of scheduled doctors' appointments followed by a surprise blood test to determine our uric acid levels. The podiatrist asked us to consider taking a once-a-day pill for the gout. Ugh, we replied.  

Also, we didn't have much to say. To be honest we don't have much to say today, and we approach this post with [Great fear and Trepidation?-Ed]. No, melancholy and indifference.

Alright, alright...we had no idea Richard Nixon had been a senator before watching this excellent Praeger U video. [And you used to be a history professor. Hang your head in shame-Ed]. We hang our head in shame. Anyway, Nixon was a fine president who spent four years cleaning up the Dem's mess - and got us out of Vietnam. After three terms of Obama-Biden shenanigans, we'll never again take the so-called Watergate scandal seriously. One day we will tell you people a story. 

Jersey Beat: Hurricane Erin is brushing the Jersey shore and closing beaches. Looks like we chose the right week to go down the shore, as we say here in our adopted home state of New Jersey. Related, for some reason we dreamt we were hanging out with Tony Soprano last night. He seemed like a reasonable and friendly guy. What the actual F?

Why we don't write magazine articles anymore...FB tells us we posted this 16 years ago, 'I have an article in issue no. 258 of Strategy & Tactics Magazine: Moltke's Art of War- wrote it eight years, the wheels of publishing grind ever forward...' [Also you burned your bridges with that magazine, had a steamroller crush the rubble into pellets, placed the pellets in a hydraulic press and smashed them to atoms, and the spread the atoms across the arid field of victory before riding off into the badlands with Ennio Morricone playing in the background. 

DOGE report: a most excellent day yesterday and the day before with World War 1990: Thatcher's War. The battle of Ardee is coming along just fine. We woke up this morning with a scene idea and are just waiting to wake up a little more to write it down. We still think we can have a rough-rough finished by Friday. 

We began outlining a couple of stories for the 5th nuke novel. Cosmonauts ought to be able to see nuclear blasts from space, right comrade...?
