Tuesday From the Beach (2025)

A good sunny afternoon from the Jersey Shore, aficionados of Stroock's Books. We are tan, and red, and salty and a little tired after two days on the beach. As we write this we're sitting in the breeze enjoying an afternoon beer, as one does.

We are warming up to the new condo. It's far more comfortable and better ventilated. We're suffer no humidity issues here.

Jersey beat: 'Two new polls show New Jersey's Democratic gubernatorial nominee Mikie Sherrill with a single-digit lead over Republican nominee Jack Ciattarelli.' Yeah that poll showing Sherill with a 20 point lead was a huge outlier. She's ahead 6-8 points before anyone is really paying attention. We're seeing anti-Sherrill ads on Youtube now. Can Jack make the race competitive? Sure. Sherrill represents the incumbent party after eight years in office.

Bla-bla Israel, bla-bla negotiations. This seems like good news though: 'Hamas negotiators in Cairo discuss a new Egyptian plan for a full cease-fire, release of all hostages, symbolic exile and Gaza demilitarization; Disputes remain after failed Doha talks, but mediators see room for compromise.' Egyptian, Arab League and Trumpian pressure making itself felt? We shall see. Reminder. Paris and London can condemn and recgonize all they want. Europe doesn't really matter here.

This morning we began three scenes in World War 1990: Thatcher's War, three scenes for the Battle of Ardee chapter. So far, so good.

Also, sitting at the beach, watching the ocean, soaking in the rays and listening to the waves, we think we figured out the 5th nuke book.
