Friday Post Without Consequence

FB tells us that ten years ago today we got out of the hospital after being treated for minor chest pains. Everything was fine. Just fine. So it began.

Related...we hit the gym yesterday, finally. Our right ankle is sore again. We may not care.

Trump was in Bedminster yesterday and later NYC for the Yankees September 11th game. Heh, Marine-1 and the decoy flew right past our house. Cool!

Honestly, we're tired, sore, bored, and a little disheartened. We've also been thinking too much about nuclear war. Here's one that doesn't get talked about much but always stuck with us. Enjoy!

You know, we didn't understand how important Charlie Kirk was. Of course, an old Gen-x con like us wasn't really Kirk's audience. To us he was just another conservative personality like Ben Shapiro or Sean Hannity. Nope. He was an organizer and a symbol of hope for young cons. We'll not see his kind again.

During his podcast last night, the great Stephen L. Miller said he slept with a loaded AR-15 bedside. Ben Shapiro has cancelled college appearances for the moment. Hard to blame them. We wore our Trump shirt to the gym, which is not even a thing. We shrug in frustration.

Yeah...we've seen some pretty disgusting behavior from Democrats these last 48 hours. We ourselves haven't said anything and we haven't unfriended anyone. Yet. But the eye has twitched. They don't sense the moment and don't know what to do. And they're scared. Good. Go ahead be scared.

It's increasingly likely that the Israeli strike on Qatar didn't take out Hamas leadership. We shall see.

Sports notes: it was fun watching the Packers beat the Redskins last night. The Redskins looked totally overmatched and had no answer to the Packers' pass rush. QB Jayden Daniels spent most of the night running for his life.

Mrs. Stroock's Phillies came from behind to defeat the Mets 6-4, making for a four-game sweep. An epic demolition. The Phillies win a lot of close games. They're in excellent shape and built for the post season.
