We took the fam for a quick trip across the dread Hudson River yesterday to visit our dad.
Sports wrap. Mrs. Stroock's Penn State obliterated Villanova 52-6. She is pleased. What's the point of these non-competitive games? Why a tune up for the competitive games of course.
Mrs. Stroock's Phillies have won 9/10, including a four game sweep of the Mets. The Phillies are one game away from clinching the NL East. The Mets are in freefall. We'll get back to our chronicle of Davey Johnson's Mets next week.
The Democrats will never forgive Charlie Kirk for being assassinated.
Dark days lead one toward dark thoughts. Even after one of their own assassinated Charlie Kirk the Dems insist he was racist, homophobic - a Nazi. They can't stop. They don't know how to stop. They don't even understand that they should stop.
We've seen some rather disgusting 'Yes, but Charlie Kirk was a nazi' behavior from people on FB, from people we know. We've managed to keep our goddamn mouth shut. Yeah...there's a website now to whom you can send the names, profile and employer of people celebrating Charlie Kirk's assassination. Maybe we're just a softie, but we haven't done that yet. We've put together a few dossiers though.
Speaking of dossiers, one day, maybe soon, we will tell you people a story.
Huge pro-English rally in London yesterday. Sorry, we just don't get optimistic about these things anymore.
FB tells us we posted this 12 years ago, 'Sequel to Israel Strikes, which was supposed to be about a war between Israel and Egypt, has morphed into a war between Israel and Sudan. WTF?' That novel became Israel Strikes: War of the Red Sea. We got distracted by a little alternate history WWIII project and what was supposed to be a trilogy about Israel got overtaken by events.
Will's Good Idea for the Week of 9/14/25...We dunno, still thinking of When the Bombs Stopped stories. After the Bombs Dropped? We got our big picture stories, we think. We just need something about regular people. Maybe it's climbing out of the nuclear rubble. Maybe it's a town meeting to discuss what to do?
We're not in the mood for any of that Irish crap, sorry World War 1990: Thatcher's War.
