Friday Faculty Fek

Good afternoon, Stroock's Books Kibbutzim and shabbat shalom.

Yesterday for old times' sake we looked up our old Rate My Professor page. Here it is:

That's right. We used to be awesome. At the end of every semester, we handed out professor evaluation forms. Students had to fill those out. But the kids giving us a 4.2/5 went to Rate My Professor on their own to tell their peers we're awesome. Those reviews mean more to us than all the hundreds and hundreds of evaluation forms put together. 

After visiting our RMP page we did something really stupid and checked to see if there were any adjunct openings, anywhere. A college half an hour away is accepting adjunct applications, but no thanks. As always we reminded ourselves that we sent our resume to RVCC on a lark in 2008, for no other reason than the college was 5 minutes away. A year later they called. We were holding our newborn in our arms. The caller ID read 'RVCC'. We said, 'Seriously, now?'

There followed six years of awesomeness. 

We have rules [Those being?-Ed]. We never stick our neck out for an educational institution*. [But you stuck your neck out for RVCC-Ed]. See above. [So you won't 'stick your neck out' as you say, again-Ed?] No. [But you like the gig-Ed]. We like lots of things we can't have. What's one more thing? And besides, we've been out of the gig for a decade now [Sounds like you're putting up obstacles-Ed]. Your goddamn right we are.

DOGE Report: as TW II is now its own book, it needs a set up chapter. We think President Bush. We also think the Ulster Defence Association is going to do something nasty. See the Dublin Bombing in your Encyclopedia of Troubles Sectarian Violence. In any event we read the first chapter and it looks just fine. 

*From the Hendrick Hudson School district, a non-Jesuit University in Washington DC, a second-rate Yeshiva in Passaic, the New Jersey Department of Education, to RVCC...educational institutions have and will continue to screw us.
