Good morning, Stroock's Books Weekenders, and happy Saturday.
We are expecting a couple of inches of snow this morning into this afternoon which is enough to cancel our planned sojourn across the Hudson River. Oh well, next weekend.
Planning for the Stroock Family spring break 2026 trip continues in earnest. Middle Daughter wants to see The U. We'll follow this up with several days in Key West, which we once visited, sans two daughters, in 2008 for a college friend's wedding. Fun Fact, that friend commanded an infantry company in Iraq in 2005 and became a general. We're having lunch with said friend and his family on Monday.
In Iran, events are afoot it seems, as the US moves military assets into place. No one has explained to this blog how bombing Iran will topple the mullahs. We remain wary, skeptical even.
The Things.
We've been DOGE reporting our progress on World War 1990: Whatever the Goddamn Thing is Called and World War 1990: Thatcher's War all week. Do you people really need a Saturday update on these projects? We thought not.
A short story compilation with one of our submissions should go live this weekend. We will update you people as events warrant.
