Well, yesterday we smacked Senator John McCain around like a prawn addled Vietnamese interrogator. We stand by everything we wrote about the senator. Frankly, he's kind of a jerk.
But we love him anyway. Here are the reasons why.
1-John McCain is a man from another era, listen to his voice, his diction. McCain sounds like Harry Truman.
2-John McCain disagreed with W a lot, but he never shived him.
3-John McCain was loyal to the president. Just watch his 2004 speech at the RNC. Look at him sock it to the fat socialist Michael Moore.
4-John McCain never abandoned victory in Iraq, even after years of the media egging him on to do so.

His behavior while being a POW was pretty heroric as well.
