Metal Monday

Last week was the anniversary of Iron Maiden's Dance of Death album.

Released in 2003 Dance of Death is by far the best of Maiden's post 90's albums.

Let's start with the best song Paschendale, a brutal hard hitting song about the brutal Battle of Paschendale:

The song is made to sound like a rolling artillery barrage.

From there we love Dance of Death. We saw them play this live in 2010 and its a lot of fun:

From there one gets a lot of inspirational stuff like New Frontier and Journeyman:

I go where I want
I say what I want
and no one can take it away

We've always liked that.
