We wonder who wrote it for her.
Jesus, you know the publisher didn't come up with that title. What Happened is so stupid and pointless, Hillary! must have insisted it be used.
What happened? Hillary! is a bad candidate and a bad person, that's what happened.
Okay, okay...We think this article from the decadent and depraved NBC News is a pretty decent summation of what actually happened:
At 12:37 p.m. ET on Friday, Oct. 28 — with 12 days left in the election — the campaign blasted out an advisory to reporters announcing that the former secretary of state would be campaigning in reliably Republican Arizona, a move that suggested her team was gunning to compete in states well beyond the battlegrounds they needed for victory against GOP nominee Donald Trump.
They had every right to be confident. No they didn't. We'll come back to that.
You see, as we noted last fall, Hillary! was not trying to win votes but manage the news. The article actually says so:
Even the Clinton camp’s Arizona announcement that Friday was more about running out the clock — by giving a hungry press corps something to cover — than a genuine effort to run up the score, according to multiple Clinton campaign officials interviewed for this article.Gee, just like we said last autumn. Had Hillary actually gone to Wisconsin...
So, why didn't Hillary! have every right to be confident? The polls were all over the place. CNN had Trump down five while the LA Times had Trump up five. Talk about instability.
You don't take the weekends off, as Hillary! did. Heck, W. eased back during the last week of the 2000 campaign and it nearly cost him the race.
We noted last fall that Hillary!'s rallies seemed like a Protestant wake while Trump's rallies felt like a rock concert. Forget the gender gap, (Trump won the white women's vote), it was the enthusiasm gap that mattered.
