Here and on Facebook we put out a call for short story ideas in the World War 1990 universe.
We received many interesting submissions.
Reader Mark Flores suggests a story about a kid signing up for the army at the outbreak of war, one about a M-1 or T-80 crew on the border as the war begins, and a 'Putin type' KGB agent starting starting trouble on a college campus. Of course there are already plenty of commies in the faculty lounge.
Intensely loyal reader Bruce Sandmeyer and sometimes military consultant wants to see a Warsaw Pact mutiny against the Soviets, a NATO pilot shot down behind enemy lines, a German soldier conflicted about possibly facing family members on the other side, and American tourists trapped in Europe. He also likes a story idea about the doomed 11th ACR at Fulda.
New fan Jeff Elder suggests Nicaragua attack the Panama Canal.
Keith O'Neill wants the Libyans and the IRA to get involved.
In the comments here, Donald Harris suggests something in Korea and a story about the Defense of Norway.
Looking this over, we're actually thinking that when we do Before the Weser the book will be yuuge.
