Disgraced Blue

We've seen some bad Giants games in our time, but we've never seen a game quite like yesterday's 51-17 humiliation:

We said as much to Mrs Stroock who replied, 'Really?' Later the broadcast informed us that this was the first time the Giants had given up 51 points at home since moving to New Jersey.

So our instinct about this game was right.

It was more than a humiliation or a debacle, or even a beat down. It was a bad day for the franchise. The players quit, mutinied really against a coach who is in over his head.

Mr. Mara should have fired head coach Ben MacAdoo last night, though that is not the way the Mara's do things.

Frankly, we're starting to wonder about Eli Manning too.

That was the day.
