Ehud, How can we miss you if you won't go away?

So Ehud Barak wants to be Prime Minister of Israel again. Sayeth Ynet:

Barak: 'I'm more fit, qualified to lead Israel than anyone else'
Fmr. PM Barak claims in interview he is more fit, qualified to lead Israel than any other candidate in field, including incumbent PM Netanyahu; Barak presents survey showing lead over Netanyahu among secular public; 'As far as record, int'l recognizability I'm more fit and qualified to lead Israel than anyone else,' says Barak.
Barak is a highly decorated general and was Minister of Defence during Operation Cast Lead in which the IDF shellacked Hamas.

So there's no doubting his military credentials.

Actually, in 1999 he was they guy that knocked of the Likud Prime Minister, who just happened to be Benjamin Netanyahu.

So the man knows how to get elected.

Barak was also the worst prime minister in Israeli history.

Upon taking office he unilaterally pulled out of southern Lebanon.  Hezbollah moved in right after. During next year's negotiations with Yasser Arafat, the AIDS ridden homosexual leader of the Palestinian authority, Barak damn near gave away the store, offering part of Jerusalem and territorial exchanges. Arafat still said no. Barak was going to give the Western Wall to Arafat.

This failure triggered the Second Intifada in which thousands of Israelis were killed or wounded.

In the 2001 election Barak was annihilated by Aerial Sharon, the greatest Jew since Charleton Heston.

Anyway, no thanks Minister Barak. As we said back in 2001, 'Goodbye Ehud, goodbye Ehud, goodbye Ehud, we're glad to see you go.

By the way, Israel Strikes and Israel Strikes: War of the Red Sea have plenty of parliamentary political intrigue. Israel at War has chapter on Operation Cast Lead.
