Battle Extraordinaire

An excellent set piece from John Wayne's The Alamo:

Lots of detail and action, bodies and explosions all over the place.

They spent lavishly on the Mexican uniforms to splendid effect.

Great sound and a great soundtrack.

I always liked Colonel Travis' death. Also note how Wayne goes out of his way to humanize the Mexicans, especially at the end scene.

Overall lots of scope and context, lots of stuff happening in the background.
