Nixon's the One

Via Hotair, John Dean on Watergate:

There’s social media, there’s the internet, the news cycles are faster. I think Watergate would have occurred at a much more accelerated speed than the 928 days it took to go from the arrest at the Watergate to the conviction of Haldeman and Ehrlichman and Mitchell, et al.,” Dean said. “There’s more likelihood he might have survived if there’d been a Fox News.”
This is exactly right.

We don't remember exactly when we stopped taking liberal outrage at Nixon seriously. Probably the last few years when they let Barry get away with Fast and Furious, Benghazi, the IRS scandal....not to mention all of Hillary!'s shenanigans.

Nixon did nothing worse than these doyens of the Democrats. A cover up? Lying to congress? Briefcases of cash? We could be describing Hillary at any time during the last 25 years.

For further exploration were strongly recommend Steve Sailer's review of The Post:
The new Steven Spielberg historical drama The Post is a celebration of how Democrats turn lemons into lemonade via their control of the media.
The Vietnam War galls us the most. Here the Democrats start a war they can't finish and then have the chutzpah to criticize Nixon because they don't like the way he's cleaning up their mess.

Had Fox News, talk radio and right-blogisphere existed in 1972, South Vietnam would be free and Nixon would be remembered as one of our greatest presidents.

And by the way, Deep Throat was Mark Felt, a bitter FBI man pissed off that he didn't get Hoover's job. The Deep State indeed.

Punch back twice as hard
