Culture Fair!

So Middle Daughter had her culture fair yesterday. Nice show. It was pretty much like this:

Given our neighborhood we were a little surprised at the national distribution with only half a dozen each of Indian and Chinese kids. Lots of German kids, and this being New Jersey, plenty of Italians.

This 'where are your people from?' formula is a little difficult for us, being al-Yahud. Ours' settled on Germany. Actually it's getting tougher for lots of people. How many are Italian and Irish, or Hungarian and German with a little Polish thrown in? Plenty.

So Middle Daughter did her German project.

'Daddy, who are some famous Germans?'

'Well....'
