The Griswald Experience: Big Ben, Parliament

We don't have much to say about London. The city is the city. The sites are the sites. Everything was crowded.

We were tourists.

We saw the Palace (where we bought our youngest a copy of Peppa Pig meets the Queen), Big Ben, Parliament, and went on a Thames River cruise. We took those famous cabs and rode the Underground. If the pics are that important to the reader(s), feel free to look us up on FB.

We took the girls to the Hard Rock* and Planet Hollywood. We went in and out of the annoying little tourist shops and bought 'London' sweatshirts, caps and other choochkies. I myself bought a 'Mind the Gap' T-shirt.

[Oh dear god-Ed] Hey! Our grandfather was in a triple-A unit during the war and shot down buzz-bombs, so shut the fuck up, Ed.

Back row, Lt. George Thompson, from whom we get our middle name. Growing up we were called 'Tommy'.

*When our grandparents took us to London in 1992, we stayed right down the street from the Hard Rock. After they went to bed we went out and got a beer there. 'They asleep, are they lad?' asked the hotel doorman.
