7-8-19 in New Jersey

Oh god, Jim McGreevy is back. For those who may not know, recall or care, Jim McGreevey was once governor of New Jersey but resigned after appointing his gay lover to a state post. After public disgrace McGreevey got a Master of Divinity from the Episcopalians (figures). He eventually founded the New Jersey Reentry Board, a nonprofit dedicated to helping ex-cons find work, housing, etc a  Well, here is being fired:

But today, nearly five [after a posh ribbon cutting], McGreevey stands accused of mismanaging millions of dollars while serving as the JCETP’s executive director. A former board chair says the program has been “decimated” under the agency’s current leadership, city funding has been cut, and the agency has been without a permanent leader since McGreevey was fired in January.

When we talk about America's elite being corrupt and incompetent, Jim McGreevey is what we mean.

This blog will give the SOB credit for one thing, he made the Motor Vehicle Department work a lot better.

By the way, when he gave his resignation way back in 2004 he began, 'My story is I'm a gay American.' 

Poor Mrs. McGreevey, or Dina Matos we should say.She was something of a sensation after the scandal. That blue suit was well remarked upon. Cute. She's fluent in Portuguese, no surprise as there's a large Portuguese community out of Newark. Let's see what she's up to these days... Messy trial with custody battle, book, Oprah...non profit work. Good for her.
