Hot Air previews the Del Boca Vista* debate last night and discusses something we've been wondering about ourselves.
What if there's a brokered convention?
It's really possible, isn't it?
Fauxcahontas has the osteoporosis white ladies and the bicoastal elites locked up, though sadly not the Native Americans.
Bernie's got the socialists, the AOC types and the So-Bros.
People who think Biden is dropping out anytime soon are delusional becuase he's got the black vote and will roll up a hell of a lot of southern primaries, where blacks are usually at least half the Dem voters.
That's three solid voter constituencies and by extension, delegate blocks.
Do reader(s) see any of these people compromising? No. it's more likely they'll all bicker like an old couple and the wife's spinster sister arguing with the waiter that they're eligible for the Early Bird Special* even though it's after 6 PM.
We may very well have the treat of not only a brokered convention, but a deadlocked convention. You know what that means...
[Oh fuck no -Ed]
Oh fuck yes! Hillary! to the rescue!
Lords of Kobol, hear my prayer. I beg, I plead. Please.
*You know the drill, comment.
It's more like 70 to 80 percent that Dem voters down south are black
ReplyDeleteRefresh my memory. Does the convention need someone to get 50%+1 of the votes or the MOST votes to win?
ReplyDeleteLooks like if no one had 50% of the delegates at the first ballot at the convention it goes to the second ballot. Then Super Delegates can vote.
