A visit to Houston by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the backdrop for one of the largest liquefied natural gas supply deals in U.S. history. Executives with Houston liquefied natural gas company Tellurian and India’s Petronet LNG signed a $2.5 billion deal in Modi’s presence during a private Saturday evening ceremony at the Post Oak Hotel at Uptown in Houston's Galleria district. Under the deal, Petronet pledged to invest $2.5 billion in Tellurian’s proposed Driftwood LNG export terminal in Lake Charles, La., in exchange for the rights to 5 million metric tons of LNG per year over the lifespan of the project. This is a great win for the United States. We find an international customer for our LNG and further strengthen relations with a friend. It's another blow to China as well.
We urge readers to click on to the above linked Houston Chronicle article. This deal will spur billions in infrastrcuture invesments and create thousands of jobs.
And with flame-throwing righthander Justin Verlander* winning his 20th game yesterday, the Astros are looking pretty good too.
When else would you want to be a Houstonian than right here, right now?

There are about 120,000 Indian-Americans in the Houston area. While a majority vote for Democrats, Trump did receive some support in 2016, the same that Romney did in 2012. About 75% voted for Hillary.
Indians are a which votes and makes political contributions. If Trump can make any inroads at all with the Indian-American vote it's a huge problem for Democrats.
What's good for Trump is good for America.
*Speaking of looking good, Verlander is married to Kate Upton. Now that's what I call winning.
