Virginia should Tell Northern Virginia to Drop Dead

The Second Civil War is set to begin next week in Virginia, as patriotic Americans gather at the state capitol to defend the Bill of Rights. Governor Blackie has declared a state of emergency and banned firearms from the premises.

At issue are a series of Democrat proposals aimed at lawful gun owners. These include limiting magazine size and closing down indoor gun ranges. This is culture war waged by urban Democrats and Northern Virginia elitists against the Deplorables. 

Over 90 counties and hundreds of towns have declared themselves 2nd Amendment sanctuary cities. The good people of West Virginia have proposed these counties join their state. Note, foreign readers, West Virginia was part of Virginia till the Civil War.

Of course we lived in Northern Virginia for six years and were always sure to say Northern Virginia, not out of snobbery, but respect. Northern Virginia is a suburb of DC and has little in common with the rest of the state. Most people don't even have southern accents but speak American Standard English as do we.

Rather than Virginia counties joining West Virginia a more sensible solution would be for the counties of Northern Virginia, say half a dozen, to form their own state.
