On NJ.com's FB page we pointed out that Juneteenth is brought to you by Republicans and boy did the fireworks fly. Was that 'doing something' as we've lamented on this blog? Meh, accusing strangers of racism was fun at the time, but it wasn't 'doing something'. We came away feeling...it's the kind of feeling one has when you enjoy something a first but then not once you're done. Like eating a bag of Doritos? Not the lunch sized bag at the deli counter, we mean the big bag.

Shut up, I've had one of your chip-buddies.
Anyway, this is the day to think about Grant, and Sherman, General O.O. Howard, the Freedman's Bureau, Emancipation, and all the rest of it. Also White Guilt. They're gonna tell us about White Guilt...
You know being from the South you would of thought I knew of this day but no not even any of my black co-workers and friends have heard of this day
ReplyDeleteI have a question why is the whitest most leftist regions of the country protesting for racial injustice instead of down South where the majority of blacks live there is not these big protests outside of Atlanta I would think more places down South would be in uproar since everyone knows we are the most racist people in the world
