Alternate History Histories

Now this is an interesting idea if we don't say so ourselves, and something different we can do on the side. A short story compilation of future histories of our various alternate histories.

Think of the potential in the universe of The Austrian Painter. H.L. Mencken can do an autopsy of the Pershing Administration. JFC Fuller can wright a history of the Pacific War between the United States and Japan. Heck, we could probably use this to bring things forward in the World War 1990 universe, right up to the year we publish.

And we wouldn't be limited to our existing universes.

Why not write a chapter about the future of a Confederacy that wins the War Between the States? We think it'd be a backward socialist slaveocracy.

Ideas. You people know what to do.

  1. I don't think so slavery was already begining to die out before the war and after it would of been unprofitable because the South was going to experience a decade of soil depletion because of cotton and in order to recover and keep the North from trying to conquer them in the future we would of had to create more manufacturing and also Europe would not want to do business with a slave holding country

  2. Meh. Confederates win the Civil War has been done. What if the Mormons formed their own country in Utah? What would LA and San Francisco look like if Mexico kept them? What if New York opposed independence?

  3. What if the US stayed out of WW 2? Or Great Britain kept the empire after WW 1? Churchill dies in WW1 or the Boer war? Then what?
