Monday Metal (Let There be Rock)

This weekend saw the 40th anniversary of AC/DC's Back in Black. So welcome to AC/DC week here at William Stroock dot BlogSpot dot com. Let's get things started, shall we? This is Live at the River Platte, 2009:
We saw them three times on this tour, including the opening night at Pottsville, PA. We had middle seats, about ten rows back.

They played five songs off the new album, opening up with the new single Runaway Train, which became part of their concert playlist we learned when we saw them again in 2015. From their they played all the classics. Other then the new stuff, they played Thunderstruck (of course) and from there the 70's and 80s classics. Thinking back:

Highway to Hell
Back in Black
Hell's Bells
Shook me all Night Long
For Those about to Rock (closer)
Shot down in flames
Whole Lotta Rosie
Shoot to Thrill (fuck yeah)
Let There be Rock (epic, takes about ten minutes)

We remember music, and lights, and sound and power chords...Just a special, magical night. We couldn't believe it was happening.
