Bugs Bunny in Dixie Revisited

So yesterday we posted a clip of Bugs Bunny battling Yosemite Sam down South. 

Classic.

We saw some other Bugs Bunny clips on YouTube and one was labelled Racist Bugs Bunny, or some such.

We watched and during the first minute or so said, 'I dunno. He's just walking and playing banjo and I guess it's insensitive but I don't think the intent is - OH MY GOD!'

Yeah, we're not posting or even linking to that clip. Good lord, did we actually see that as a child? The clip didn't seem immediately familiar in a way the beats and rhythms of the other clip did. Please, someone tell us that by 1980 they stopped airing that. Please?
