Your Combined Self Defense and Writing Update for 8/27/20

By now you all know two rioters were shot and killed and a third wounded by a young man in Kenosha. He ran away, shot one, then ran away again. They chased him down. He opened fire in self defense. It's almost as if Antifa and BLM don't think we're serious. A cop friend says it's a clear case of self defense and they'll never make the charges stick. There was rioting in Kenosha (mostly peaceful- according to CNN), Portland of course, and now Minneapolis. The cities' wimp mayor is begging the state and Feds for help.

We won't recap Pence's speech, much. We thought it was just perfect, solid, workmanlike. We're glad our 13 year old watched so she can see what normal politics look like. Once again we are amazed at the innate toughness of this campaign and it's willingness to hammer Biden and the Dems again and again. No GOP has been willing to do that since nineteen freakin' eighty-eight, which is probably what this election will look like.

Pence 2024.

One of those political modeler types thinks Trump will win 362 Electoral Votes. That would require New York State. We don't think that will happen. But we admit Trump could go in there and run against Killer Cuomo and Bolshevik De Blasio. Possible? OK. But still unlikely. As noted before, Don Jr should run for Mayor of NYC.

We've gone through the first 25 pages or so of The Great Nuclear War of 1975. We're just not where we want to be yet. We're adding lots of detail, but we're also having an intellectual problem with the government gathering in Casper, with the lights on, while the rest of the country is in darkness. We have officials having informal meetings in hotel bars and such. See what we mean? 

There was a ring of massive bunkers in the mountains of VA, MD and PA and WV. The question is, just how much of this did the Soviets know about? We'll put it this way. Everything was up and running at Weather Mountain when the Feds learned someone was trying to buy an old mansion a few miles down the road. Turns out it was the Soviet Embassy looking for a staff 'mountain retreat'.  The Feds had big plans for government evacuation. Big plans. You know how god feels about plans.
