Will's Good Idea for the Week of 12/13/20

The Great Nuclear War of 1975 will culminate with the president's inauguration on January 20th, 1977.

From there we write a chapter covering each year, each about a theme, an idea. Say....infrastructure building in 1978, what's happening in the rest of the world in 1979 and the election of 1980, etc etc, ending with the new president's inauguration in 1981.*  Yes, that sounds right. The book will end with an epilogue, a future history written in 2025, the 50th anniversary of the war.

Just thinking about this, the MS feels like it's gonna balloon to 130,000 words, easily. It just wouldn't be a big deal to get to 180,000, that's three novels right there. I'll stop, I'll stop.

*It won't be Reagan. Don't even think about it.
