Inforos + Various

Our latest bit of GRU collusion is out at Inforos:  'This Wednesday, Joe Biden, who this time last year was looking at electoral oblivion in the Democrat Primaries, becomes the 46th President of the United States. That’s a sentence this observer never thought he’d write. Donald Trump will ignominiously leave Washington the morning of the inauguration and head for Florida. This is probably the right thing to do. Vice President Mike Pence will represent the outgoing administration. In wake of the January 6th riots, Capitol Hill is blocked off with barbed wire topped fences and the city occupied by 30,000 soldiers.' Click on through.

We agree with Bill Maher once more. At the link he talks about Ashlii Babbitt, shot for the crime of climbing through a broken window, a Federal window(!). Maher lashes into Babbitt and the mob, but moves on to everything wrong with his home state of California. 'No wonder,' he says. Like we said, Maher is usually wrong but when he's right he's really right.

The Z Man again, a writer whom we think will have important and interesting things to say the next eight years: 'Another lesson is there is no way to reform this system. The sort of person who can win an election is either a careerist sellout like every member of the GOP or an outlandish outsider with no ability to govern. The only way forward for dissidents is to focus on building outside the system. A third of all adults and close to half of white people no longer think the system is legitimate. Every day the people in charge convert more people to this view with their authoritarian actions.' We expect the described process to accelerate. The regime learns nothing and forgets nothing.

George W. Bush talks about his relationship with Dick Cheney and missing his 'pals' since leaving Washington. W says he really doesn't miss DC. It's clear he ain't never going back. Just going away was the last thing W could do, and one of the best. The Clintons wouldn't go away and neither did Barry, who ran a shadow government from his Georgetown mansion. We hope Trump won't go away either. The new regime isn't going to leave Trump alone. So why should he go away?
