Clean Your Shotguns, Dick

NJ.com reports:  'Though a majority of New Jersey adults approve of the restrictions the state put in place to combat the coronavirus pandemic, majorities also support Gov. Phil Murphy‘s recent decisions to relax the rules, according to a new poll released 14 months into the state’s outbreak. Meanwhile, opposition to the COVID-19 vaccine is lower in the Garden State is lower than it is nationally, though nearly a third of residents are either waiting to decide whether to receive it or don’t plan to, according to the Monmouth University survey released Wednesday.' Read carefully. Public opinion isn't with Murphy, Murphy is with public opinion. He's done an excellent job of staying just ahead of where the public wants to go. A ton of restrictions are being lifted today. To put it another way, Murphy doesn't get a weird sexual arousal from lockdowns the way certain murderous governors do. See also Blue State in your political dictionary. We'll probably vote for Murphy.

The Federalist's Mollie Hemingway says the War Profiteer's Daughter really doesn't do the things she's supposed to do, getting the message out, fundraising, etc etc. Well, we suppose this joke has to be told. After Liz Cheney defenestrates, she'll have time for a daddy/daughter hunting trip...

[Clap...clap...clap...-Ed]

We see an insurgency mounting against Cheney's presumed replacement, Elise Stefanik. Morons. Does a GOP's ACU score really matter anymore? Who cares? This ain't 2012. This blog speculates Cheney partisans are orchestrating the effort.

About right now 20 years ago we re-started our education, attending American Military University (now APUS), online, via a dialup. We'll talk more about that next week, and on off this year and next. There weren't online classes yet. Some profs did group chats. But mostly one was assigned reading and did write-ups of those readings. There was a term paper at the end. We took an Intro to military history, military history from ancient times, military history from medieval times to the modern world, some kind of intro study skills class you had to take. We'd get into more specialized classes in the next semester.  Heh, we really had no idea what we getting into.

This blog begrudgingly admits that things are looking....okay....in the Alaska chapter. Still, something is missing.  As a refresher for you people, we have truck convoys, the military establishing bases, a tanker steaming through the NW Passage, a pre-war Alyeska Corp work camp, the president visiting...What are we missing? Of what have we not thought?

Below, apropos of nothing, the Red Ensign for your Friday flag:

Will's News Roundup, Local, International

It was Star Wars Day. You know, we've never seen the Rise of Woke, or whatever the last one was called. We're not even mad. We just don't care. We caught some of RoTJ and Empire last night. Which was good for our soul. With each year we get more emotional about the original trilogy.

CNBC says that India's Covid outbreak is catastrophic: 'India crossed 20 million reported cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday. There were 357,229 new cases reported over a span of 24 hours, bringing the total to 20.28 million, according to health ministry data'. One of our neighbors lost her dad in India. They won't even be able to go to the funeral. We expect to see more of this.

The above mentioned are moving to North Carolina. Another neighbor already has family down there. The Carolinas are a hot destination for fleeing Yankees. Tennessee too. This is the third move in our neighborhood this year. The neighbors held an open house last weekend. Every family we saw was Indian.

NJ.com reports that the Covid numbers continue to improve. 'New Jersey on Tuesday reported another 1,208 confirmed coronavirus cases and an additional 45 deaths, 14 months after the state announced its first positive test and a day after Gov. Phil Murphy announced the state will lift many of its major COVID-19 capacity restrictions May 19 as vaccinations increase and numbers continue to improve. More than 3.15 million people have been fully vaccinated in New Jerseys as of Tuesday — roughly 46% of the state’s 6.9 million adults. Another 157,000 residents have been vaccinated out of state.' The infection rate plummeted to .027. Lat weekend we took the Stroocklettes for ice cream and didn't wear a mask. Nobody said nuthin'.

By now you've all seen the CIA's humiliating recruitment video. Cis-gendered Intersectional Agency, as Tucker says. This is what they're focusing on. Which is fine. The CIA was already an incompetent joke.  This blog supports whatever undermines the CIA so we hope to see more commercials like this. Day one of the Stroock Administration would see a massive Tomahawk Strike on Langley.

It looks like Frank Luntz's rent boy is going to hold a vote on the War Profiteers Daughter when congress reconvenes. Leadership has abandoned Liz Cheney. As we said, she's trying out for Joe Scarborough's job on MSNBC, or Mika's anyway. Heh. Watch out Mika, you're wife #3. What's a 4th?

We saw W was saying something about how the GOP can't be the WASP party. Who said that's what the GOP was trying to be? Honestly we weary of him. The man wouldn't defend himself and now...DeSantis 2024? Gentlemen, do yourself a favor and google Ron DeSantis' wife. Wow.

In Israel, the opposition gets a crack at forming a government. The Times of Israel says: Yesh Atid party leader Yair Lapid and Yamina chief Naftali Bennett have been negotiating a potential “change government” — “change” meaning ousting Netanyahu — in which the two would rotate the premiership.' They have 51 MKs. They need 60. Don't ask this blog how they get there. Likud defectors? The Times describes Bennett thusly: 'Bennett, a religious Zionist politician, is seen as having emerged from under Netanyahu’s shadow, wielding influence that goes beyond his native community and beyond just the right. While he staunchly opposes a Palestinian state and backs many right-wing policies, he is relatively liberal on religious issues and pragmatic on some others, and is seen as mostly independent of the rabbis he tended to follow throughout most of his career.' Remember, the Haredi are total jerks.

In which we collude with the Kremlin without shame or remorse, and other topics

We did another hour on the treadmill yesterday. It was damn near the easiest hour we've ever done. We were gliding. After coming home we could barely walk for a while, but this morning everything feels great.

William Stroock's collusion with Russia continues: 'The Rush Limbaugh Show had a simple format. He would open with a monologue and spend the top of the hour reading interesting, quirky, and funny news clippings. There would follow more monologue and eventually Rush would take callers. That was the show, that is all he did. Even after the fragmentation of American media in the 2000s, Limbaugh pulled in 10-20 million listeners every day...' Click on to Moscow.

Final thought on Westmoreland. People who failed at their main jobs have gone on to have successful second careers. Herbert Hoover became a think tank ideas man. Jimmy Carter a philanthropist. Reader(s) get the idea. Westmoreland failed at everything he did after the army. He was a shallow, mediocre thinker and this blog is shocked that an organization that's supposed to be a meritocracy allowed Westy to rise to the top. Knowing Maxwell Taylor was enough, we guess.

We're five pages into H.R. McMasters' Dereliction of Duty and we already hate Robert McNamara, Clark Clifford, McGeorge Bundy, and the rest of the 'best and brightest'.  We're also reading James S. Robbins book about Tet. Excellent so far. Google General Nguyen Ngoc Loan. He did the right thing. An interesting man as well.

Liz Cheney (whom the house GOP failed to defenestrate) stated with great vigor and force that Trump shouldn't speak at C-PAC. That's it. The war profiteer's daughter knows she's finished and is angling for a gig on CNN or something.

So an old friend from New York messaged us yesterday about Killer Andy C. He said, 'Cuomo's finished, right?' We replied that he's a Democrat so no. Unless something's happened in the last few hours that I don't know about and...Oh my God! We stand by the above statement. Killer Andy C. is a Democrat. At best he won't run in 2022, but we doubt even that. Check the man's party. Is he a Democrat? If yes, then he'll be fine. Cuomo will be fine. Let's see what New York City's paper of record has to say this morning...They've taken the measure of the man, that's for sure.

A woman's* fantasy about being seduced by a powerful man usually involves charm, ambience, tuxedos and cocktail dresses, that sort of thing.** Lindsey Boylan got none of that from the Governor of New York. This is the kind of jackass stuff we used to do with girls when we were an idiot teenager, and even then we knew we were acting like an idiot jackass.  [Used to do? What do you mean were acting like an idiot? Knobhead-Ed]. I guess we're not surprised after all the #Metoo revelations. Cuomo couldn't find a way to stay in a relationship with Sandra Lee, moron.

*Also #NeverTrump Republicans

Thursday Thrills

Over at Small Dead Animals, Kate McMillan talks about the importants of mischief. To that end we've taken to the FB page of NJ.com, a perfectly middlebrow, left leaning New Jersey news website. We strongly recommend it. Every time there's a story about teachers not wanting to go back to work we leave our pithy comments and watch it burn. 'We won't work! We won't work!' Always the teachers swarm and always they lecture us on the need for safety and bitch about how hard their jobs are. Always. Is it trolling? Probably. But mischief is important.*

So we had the GameStop stock short thing explained to us multiple times, sometimes with puppets, and think we understand what happened. 'Nerds on Reddit with a vendetta' cost a hedge fund billions. Good good for them. Big tech has moved in, the FEC is interested and the media is already comparing these guys to alt-right white nationalists. Whatever. We can't believe short selling is legal. The system will and already is, crushing these people.

We continue to make reference to the Wyoming war profiteer's daughter, something we would never have done even five years ago. Does this mean our thinking on W, the GOP, Iraq, etc etc has changed. When one reads about Liz Cheney working with Dems to keep our troops in Afghanistan....Man, we don't know anymore.

We went for a two mile walk  in some seriously cold Yankee Winter weather this morning.  Twice a week we workout with weights and tension bands. We continue to gain weight while thinning out. In fact this may be the most successful weight lifting program of our life. The walks are working real good too.

*Also, every time there's a story about the Capitol Hill riots we say, 'It was mostly peaceful'. This usually makes heads explode. As Col Schlichter says, you have to own the libs.

Inforos + Various

Our latest bit of GRU collusion is out at Inforos:  'This Wednesday, Joe Biden, who this time last year was looking at electoral oblivion in the Democrat Primaries, becomes the 46th President of the United States. That’s a sentence this observer never thought he’d write. Donald Trump will ignominiously leave Washington the morning of the inauguration and head for Florida. This is probably the right thing to do. Vice President Mike Pence will represent the outgoing administration. In wake of the January 6th riots, Capitol Hill is blocked off with barbed wire topped fences and the city occupied by 30,000 soldiers.' Click on through.

We agree with Bill Maher once more. At the link he talks about Ashlii Babbitt, shot for the crime of climbing through a broken window, a Federal window(!). Maher lashes into Babbitt and the mob, but moves on to everything wrong with his home state of California. 'No wonder,' he says. Like we said, Maher is usually wrong but when he's right he's really right.

The Z Man again, a writer whom we think will have important and interesting things to say the next eight years: 'Another lesson is there is no way to reform this system. The sort of person who can win an election is either a careerist sellout like every member of the GOP or an outlandish outsider with no ability to govern. The only way forward for dissidents is to focus on building outside the system. A third of all adults and close to half of white people no longer think the system is legitimate. Every day the people in charge convert more people to this view with their authoritarian actions.' We expect the described process to accelerate. The regime learns nothing and forgets nothing.

George W. Bush talks about his relationship with Dick Cheney and missing his 'pals' since leaving Washington. W says he really doesn't miss DC. It's clear he ain't never going back. Just going away was the last thing W could do, and one of the best. The Clintons wouldn't go away and neither did Barry, who ran a shadow government from his Georgetown mansion. We hope Trump won't go away either. The new regime isn't going to leave Trump alone. So why should he go away?

The Friday Follies

Over at Steyn, in-house Jew and fellow Canadian Laura Rosen Cohen lovingly eulogizes her friend Kathy Shaidle, Dreidelbaum. Our heart breaks for you.

Speaking of Canadians, it looks like they're gonna have another election up in the land of the moose. The last Conservative leader, Andy Scheer, was a Canadian Paul Ryan, so naturally he lost and most pleasurably so. He liked it, oh, he so did like it. The current guy, Erin O'Toole is mostly absent, as the great Rex Murphy points out. There was a third option, a Quebecois conservative bomb thrower named Maxime Bernier, kind of a Canadian Nigel Farage. But Scheer and the establishment knifed him. 'Coulda had Max,' as Kathy used to say. We have a man on the ground in Canada and we'll consult with him, but due to Tory general girly-ness, these people really get off on losing, we suspect Justin will form a third government.

Moving on to American losers, Liz Cheney should be held upside down and shaken till her father's brain falls out of her head. The Wyoming GOP has already disavowed the war-profiteer's daughter. Is Liz Cheney done? She is a Cheney in Wyoming so it's hard to say. She'll have a fight, that's for sure. Maybe we should ask our cousinsAmbassador Thomas F. Stroock didn't lift a finger to help us get a job in the Bush White House. Which is fine. With our luck we would have ended up working for Scooter Libby.

More Jews. The Times of Israel reports that Bibi expects to win and win big: "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he believes his Likud party will rise to Knesset 40 seats or more in the coming election, up from 36 in the March 2020 vote, helping him secure a majority in the 120-seat Knesset, form a coalition and remain prime minister as head of a government that does exactly as he says." That would be the biggest Likud win of our lifetime. Bibi's prediction strikes us as unlikely. The Israelis have already vaxed something like 2 million people and are dropping the age limit to 45. This certainly speaks well of his government. Israel is about the size of New Jersey, so they don't have the logistical problems of space that we do here. Between that and the Abraham Accord, Bibi has a pretty strong case, no? Alas our dream tough on the palis tough on the Haredi center secular party is not to be. Gantz, you moron.

Less Jews. Thankfully 2021 is Sandinista Mayor Bill de Blasio's last year ruining New York City. Or maybe not thankfully, if you're inclined to see the city spiral further into the depths. Nuke it from orbit is this blog's official stance on NYC. Heh. 2020 was NYC's worst year since 9/11. Our grandfather loved New York, and we're glad he's not around to see what's happened. We always said conservatives would miss Bloomberg's technocratic competence. Sure he was annoying but he wouldn't let rioters and the homeless take over the streets. Former Democrat presidential candidate Andrew Yang is running for mayor. We're intrigued. We think NYC could use a man like Yang and so could the Dems. Maybe. We must dwell on this.

Impeach This

Plaster faced Pelosi and the House Dems are having a self congratulatory circle jerk over impeaching the president. It wasn't enough to impeach Trump once. No, they did it again with a week left in his presidency. That'll show 'em! That's worth an extra shot of vodka and estrogen, isn't it Nancy?

Open a history book you fucking imbeciles. No one thinks the Radical Republicans did the right thing by impeaching Andrew Johnson over the Tenure of Service Act. As far as Clinton goes, well, it was a silly waste of time, wasn't it? Retards.

Cocaine Mitch has already said the Senate won't take up the articles of impeachment. That means the Dems can spend the first part of the new congress dealing with impeachment. They've got two years to do what they want and they're gonna spend weeks (months?) relitigating Trump. The GOPs will have a ball rubbing the Dem's faces in their own toxic BLM/Antifa quotes.  Well played Democrats, well played indeed. You've got something in your hair.

Oh, Liz Cheney (R-Halliburton) voted to impeach the president, did she? That war profiteer's daughter has been working with the Dems for years to keep American troops in Afghanistan. Conservatives in the house are calling for Cheney to be removed from her leadership post. The jokes write themselves. Oh look, a Cheney wants regime change! A Cheney expected she'd be welcomed as a liberator. This blog will donate to whomever primaries that establishment chump-thumper. Cheney dalenda est.
