Post Speech Ennui

We're home with the Stroocklettes all by ourselves (ironed a shirt and sewed a button this morning!)...

[Excuse me while I slow clap you out of the room-Ed]

...So we didn't see the speech. In fact we forgot about it. So don't ask us for incisive analyses.

[What were you doing?-Ed]

Taking Oldest Daughter to and from dance, trying to shoehorn the other two into bed, face timing Mrs. Stroock, etc etc.

Speaking of, she got whacked in the head in gym a few days ago and has been diagnosed with a mild concussion. Do we even have to say it? Raise your hand if you took a basketball to the head, or went up to catch a football and got slammed to the gym floor and got the wind knocked out of you and were told to 'walk it off'. By the many faced god, if a fight broke out in our high school gym, the coach would let it play out for 20 or 30 seconds before intervening. We can still see him, walking slowly over and saying, 'Or right fellas, that's enough. Shake hands.'

A friend from a European country that will remain unnamed but whose past is synonymous with a certain NFL team asked us what we thought of Joe's first 100 days. We replied that he hasn't let us down.

Ok. Now that we remember what we were trying to do with chapter three of The Great Salvation of 1976 we're pretty happy. We probably shouldn't look at the chapter again for a while. On to the Korean War chapter. We still need more lead in with the Norks. We'll give that the read through next week.

Also, what else is going on? What are we missing? What should be happening?
