-We awoke tired and sore after an afternoon of weight lifting. Technically we've worked out four days in a row, as we're counting the Wednesday excursion to the pool as exercise. We were in the water the entire time. We gave the moms something nice to look at.
-Tropical Storm Elsa blew through here last night and left a tonne* of rain.
-Middle Daughter tracked the storm's progress with great enthusiasm. We said she'd make a good cute weather girl.** 'They're called meteorologists,' Mrs. Stroock admonished in her 'I am displeased' voice.
-We've always liked NY Fox 5's Audrey Puente. Exit Question, ya'll must have some real stunners down south. We're talking high cheek-boned, blonde-haired, blue-eyed, smiley, toothy, dare we say well endowed Southern gals, no? The year may be 2021, but it's still the south.
-Here in New Jersey, the Fauci Flu transmission rate stands at .92, despite the so-called 'Delta Variant. Five million + vaccinated now. Four people died from the FF on Wednesday. The numbers have been single digit for a while now. Supposition: during a normal summer, between one and ten people would be dying daily from the flu.
-We see The Tampa Bay Lightning won the Stanley Cup this week, defeating the Montreal Canadians. The cup remains in its right and proper home, The United States. Screw you, Canada. Also, ef Quebec, and what the hell's a Hab?
-Ten years ago one didn't see a lot of Indians or Chinese at our local coffee shop. But now the place fills up with Indian and Chinese teenagers who've picked up the American habit of coffee and a bagel.
-There's plenty of Indian and Chinese young people at the gym.
-We noticed at the girl's dance recital that there were very few Indian and Chinese girls. The Indians have they're own dance traditions and schools to teach them. The mom's have dance recitals too. It's very culturally important. But why few Chinese? Concentrating on academics instead?
