Will's Basement

Greetings from Bridgewater.

We left the womenfolk at the beach and made an emergency trip home yesterday to survey Ida's damage. The basement got flooded. Looks like we had as much as four inches of water before the power came back on and the sump pump went back to work. We'll have to throw out lots of stuff. We lost about 100 books and the carpet's a goner. It could have been so much worse. We'll take care of a few things this morning and then head back to the beach for the final day. For those curious, here's what Ida did to the rest of New Jersey, and here's what happened to our Somerset Patriots:

Here's an update on Bridgewater. Rutgers has postponed its Friday night game. A lot of people are disappointed. If you ask this blog, they did you guys a favor. The Scarlet Knights suck.

What Will's Watching: So we're 2/3rds of the way through Voyager season-2. We are...pretty impressed.  Voyager's Kazon enemies are far more interesting than we recall. The Kazon are a sect society where each sect is obsessed with defeating Voyager as a means to power. We just watched an attempted assassination of the various sect leaders, and it was pretty cool. Kess, the 2 year old Ocompa character is barely getting any screen time. Good. She's useless. We can't make up our mind about Neelix. Chakotay, the Starfleet trained Maquis XO is interesting, and not just because he's native American.

We'll have an announcement tomorrow (late).
